The sweet illusion of simplicity. Remember when life was supposed to be easy? Yeah, me neither. It's like we're stuck in a never-ending cycle of chaos, juggling work, home, bills, and the elusive concept of "me time." Who has time to stop and smell the coffee? Heck, who has coffee?
The phrase "no free lunch" isn't just a cliché; it's a warning label for life. I once thought I scored a free lunch, but it came with a side of crippling commitments and a dollop of stress.
Today, life feels like a rat race where we're all chasing the mythical cheese of success and belonging. Newsflash: there's no cheese! Just an endless maze of expectations, responsibilities, and adulting.
We're conditioned to believe that happiness lies at the finish line of our to-do lists. But the truth is, the list never ends. It's like trying to hold water in our hands – the more we grasp, the more it slips away.
Work: "Be productive!"
Home: "Be present!"
Bills: "Pay up!"
Self-care: "What's that?"
Balance is just a euphemism for "constant juggling." We're not balancing; we're barely surviving. One wrong move, and the whole delicate act comes crashing down.
Social media doesn't help. Everyone's curated highlight reels make us feel like we're the only ones struggling. #Blessed? More like #Exhausted.
We're sold on the idea that success equals happiness. But what does success even mean? A promotion? A bigger house? A fancier car?
Is it just me, or does the cheese keep moving? The moment we think we've grasped it, the goalpost shifts.
We crave belonging, but it's like trying to find a puzzle piece that never quite fits. We're told to "find our tribe," but what if our tribe is scattered across the globe, or worse, nonexistent?
Life is constipated because we're clogged with expectations, responsibilities, and unfulfilled desires. We're stuck in this perpetual state of "almost there" but never quite arriving.
So, what's the answer? Honestly, I'm still searching. Maybe it's embracing the chaos and laughing at the absurdity. Perhaps it's recognizing that everyone's struggling, even those with seemingly perfect Instagram feeds.
Life isn't simple. It's messy, complicated, and downright challenging. But amidst the chaos, there's beauty. Let's acknowledge the constipation, shall we?

Beautifully said Mujtaba...cannot agree more and this was like listening to my own thoughts in a way...😄...what I think helps me is to have distractions...Distractions allow me to zone out and recharge...it starts with figuring out the art of lining up unplanned distractions...else that's another add on pressure to deal with..🤣
